I’m thrilled to have recorded my debut album PHRASES with Delphian Records in Oxford last week at the beautiful SJE Arts, with some wonderful guest players. The album features a mixture of solo voice works by Georges Aperghis, Cheryl Frances-Hoad and me, as well as 6 new duos, commissioned especially for the album, written by Nico Muhly (voice and flute, with Daniel Shao), Elaine Mitchener (voice and percussion, with Calum Huggan), Josephine Stephenson (voice and guitar, with Laura Snowden), Oliver Leith (voice and cello, with Colin Alexander) and 2 duos by me (for voice and bassoon, with Amy Harman, and for voice and violin/viola with Lawrence Power). The disc will be out on 24 June 2022. I’m incredibly grateful to the PRS Foundation, RVW Trust, Ambache Trust, Nicholas Boas Trust and many individual donors who have supported this project.
