I’ve made a little playlist for the lovely people at new dots – you can take a look HERE. (My quartet The Hermes Experiment will be working with new dots in November).

Over the past few years, I’ve been lucky enough to discover and perform lots of amazing music, new and old (mostly new!) and so when compiling this playlist, I thought it would be interesting to talk about pieces and composers that I’ve discovered through performance that have really stayed with me. I always find that there’s something very special about discovering an artist or piece of music through performing, and then ending up listening to their music or the piece on repeat on your iPod afterwards! This playlist also outlines some of my current musical interests: vocal music as drama, the use of vocal effects, and minimalism.
